Trevor Boelter

Trevor Boelter is a writer, actor and producer. As a founding member of Man Vs. Films, Trevor and Matt were at the forefront of viral videos in the earliest days of YouTube. Having scored a number of viral hits with their “ManVs.” web-series, Trevor and Matt have continued to push their creative streak with numerous scripts and stories for film, television and the stage.

Educated at both the Sanford Meisner Center for the Arts and the UCLA Professional Program in screenwriting, Trevor has pursued his craft for over two decades. As an actor & writer, Trevor wrote and starred in many award-winning short films developed by the Annex Film Group, a now legendary film co-op that inspired filmmakers on their crowdfunding techniques in the days before GoFundMe. As a founding member of the Annex Film Group, Trevor and his cohorts (including Matt Duggan) won many “Best of” categories at Film Festivals around the world.

Trevor has written over 20 screenplays. “American Sumo” was selected as a semifinalist for the Slamdance Film Festival; “Beatle John” was a semifinalist for the Nicholl Fellowship in 2009; and Trevor’s latest script “Parrothead” has been optioned and is currently in development with Bellipoma Films. Trevor is also a prolific short story writer and has been published over a dozen times in various anthologies, magazines and well-known online venues. Trevor specializes in the horror and the supernatural genres; his first volume of stories titled “Dark Park” is due to be released later this year. Trevor and Matt are currently adapting “Dark Park” into a television series in the same vein as “Black Mirror” and “The Twilight Zone.”

Trevor’s stage play, “And Now It’s All This!” premiered at the Unity Theatre in Liverpool, England in 2014 for the “Ticket To Write” playwriting festival. “And Now It’s All This!” explores John Lennon’s infamous quote that “the Beatles were bigger than Jesus” and how his fallout with the American public helped shape John Lennon from the sarcastic mop-top to the legendary peacenik that the world grew to love.

“And Now It’s All This!” will have its American premiere in Summer 2019 at The Complex Theater for the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
